dba_scheduler_jobs source and destination columns

working in a 4-node rac environment ...

currently converting all dbms_job jobs to dbms_scheduler jobs and investigating all options available ...

could anyone throw any light on the following two columns please ?

dba_scheduler_jobs.source and dba_scheduler_jobs.destination

desc column comments just states :
"source global database identifier" and
"destination global database identifier"

nothing in oracle docs and no joy on a google search

they do not appear to be documented job attibutes so maybe they are set automatically or default somehow ?

any idea what they are used for or indicate please ?
