i am using db2 7.2 in windows2000 server for an application TI. Now the problem is the db2-db2 service is stopping automatically after 2 or 3 hrs pls tell me what could be the reason.

DB2-DB2 SERVICE STOPPING AUTOMATICALLY

Processes will rarely stop autmatically. You should look into what conditions cause it to trap/crash. You could start by looking in the Windows application event log for clues or look in the DB2diag.log file. The DB2DIAG.LOG is either in the directory specified by the DBM CFG "diagpath" or in the instance directory (\program files\sqllib\db2\db2diag.log). Some of these messages are not meant for normal people to understand so maybe a support call to IBM is in order. You may be able to find some message indicating a system related problem.
