Arcserve 2000 :
In my job queue there is no DB purging job anymore, while at arcserve server admin, it is enabled. I tried disabling, stopping / starting all engines, and then enabling again, and again, starting and stopping all engines, but no luck
that did not bring back the purge job.

I also tried, submit purge job now - but no effect...

Anyone any idea how to get the purge job back ? my database is now almost 2 GB and my HDD is filling up....

disabling/inabling is the way to put the prune job back into the queue.

Perhaps there is a problem with the queue. Try renaming it and then bring ARCserve backup to recreate the queue. Then try setting up the prune job again.

Sorry guys, I have been stupid. they have changed the permissions on the server so that was not able to submit jobs / change jobs with my admin login anymore.

so i just logged in with the backup account and then just applied the tick submit database pruning now, and it was back...

so previous posts were right, and it was just a permissions problem on my side....
