I have a date (dd/mmm/yyyy) held in a variable
I am trying to identify the actual day of this date using the DatePart function.
I know this must be simple but I can not make it work. I have looked through the forums and the access help files to no avail.
Please help if you can.
Best regards
Peter

No it is not the actual date - it is a start date entered by the user so it will always be ahead of the actual date or the actual date. It is used to create a timetable.
The date is entered on a form in a field called StartDate and saved to a variable. The form collects the following data

Total number of sessions
Number of Sessions per week
Start date

After a lot of help here I can create a timetable if the number of sessions per week is one. I also need to create a timetable if the client wants more than one session per week.

My problem is collecting information for multi-sessions. I have a seperate form to collect the days of the week of individual sessions which opens when sessions per week are greater than 1 but I have failed to find a method to (for example) calculate the actual day or day number of the start date. It seems to me that it is necessary to capture this information so that the sunsequent date calcualtions can be performed to produce the time table.

(I hope that this is clear)
