I have report that has record selection of six months. I am trying to create a graph that only shows one month information. Rest of the month data i am using to set the trend on graph. Is there any way i can create a graph for one month out of six month data. I don't want to create a sub report for one month and shared variable for trend analysis. If there is any way i can limit the date field in graph for one month (or thirty days) out of six months data in detail section really solved my problem.
(This is my first post hope someone help me)

No more garphing here, the last person that did so blinded LB for a week, and Dave still speaks with a listhp.

The graph wouldn't go in the detail section anyway, not sure what that part meant.

One cheat might be to group it by the date, and place the graph in the group footer, and then use a suppression of something like:

month({table.date}) <> month(maximum({table.date}))

Then again, you say that you're using all of the data to set the trend, so it's confusing...

Thank for the quick reply. I will try what you suggest. I like to define the problem again.

Graph is in the item group footer, detail section have six month data which i compress. I made runninng total of each item "average call volume" for per day based on six month data. Now i want to create a graph that only shows current month call volume as a bar and running total as trend line. I am able to do so with six month date range. How can i limit the date range for one month only. I will try to create a month group and then supress the one which i don't need. It seems to me it will work. If you think there is any other way please reply.

Well you're not limiting to 1 month if the trendline is for 6, you want to limit to only the last month for the bar.

This is a bit tricky as Crystal doesn't really allow for fine tweaking of graphs.

I doubt that my solution will work unless you can then insert another group by the date within your current grouping wher the graph resides.

Sorry, this is outside the usual requiements, nothing comes to me off the top of my head.

There might be some trick using formulas and TOP N....

Thank you it really works i am able to group by month and then supress it the way you told me and still get the trend line.
