Using NEILSON's Post to my previous question I get a begin date and an end date. How do I use these 2 dates to search for any date that falls between these 2 parameter fields. If I delete these 2 parameter fields Crystal shows all the dates and info but when I put these 2 parameters back in I get absolutely nothing meaning I am somehow useing these 2 fields wrong in my search formula? I ask it to search with the following criteria
{MATUSETRANS.TRANSDATE} >= {@Start Date} and
{MATUSETRANS.TRANSDATE} <= {@Finish Date}
So it searches for any date between the 2 dates.

Your logic is correct but where are you putting this formula? You need to select the Report Menu, then Edit Selection Formula, then Record. If this is where it is, are you sure there is data for the dates you are picking?
LindaC
lcastner@co.orange.ny.us

Thanks Neilson and Linda, I finnaly got it, I had my dates from the field formated for 5/15/00 instead of 5/5/2000 and it must have made a difference.

On my date formula's I use the "In" function:
{MATUSETRANS.TRANSDATE} In {@Start Date} to {@End Date}.

It does the same thing as your formula, just looks a little cleaner. (My opinion anyway).

Also, FYI...
The reason the format 5/15/00 wouldn't work and 5/5/2000 would in the date formula I gave you is that the formula only checked to see if the month and the day are 1 or 2 digits. It didn't check the year if it is 2 or 4 digits. It required a 4 digit year on that formula.
