Hello

I am trying to write a parameter on a date/ time field where I want the user to choose a beginning and an end date. I can write the parameter ok but when I assign it to a selection I can only get the parameter viewable if my selection is "is equal to".

If I try to assign it to that field using is between 'x datetime' and 'y datetime' I only get the range of searchable dates to choose from, not my parameter.

Is this because I'm trying to enter a date parameter on a date/ time field? Is there any way around this? I've tried changing the value type in my parameter to "date" but of course that way I can't see the field I want.....

In the "Create Parameter Field" dialog, did you use the radio button to change the type from "Discreet Value(s)" to "Range Value(s)"?

hth,
- Ido

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Thanks - but its ok I've just worked it out. I need 2 parameters - one for start and one for end and make them both 'date' and don't load any default values.

.......see......sometimes I don't leave my brain at home......
