Good day,

I want to have a date format of MM-YYYY on my textbox on my unbound form when the user enters the information. I have searched everywere to find the anwer but I can't get it. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Look at Input Mask in Access Help. That's used for data entry whereas the Format property is used when displaying existing information.

Thanks for the help Bob, but when I go through the input mask wizard I cannot see an option for MM-YYYY.

Any idea's?

Assuming you want two digits (required) followed by a plugged-in dash followed by four digits (required), you can use:

00\-0000

Since the form is unbound, you probably should put IsDate in the validation rule property.

Thanks for help for the last one, I have it now.

But now I am looking for similar help with regards to a students grade. I have the textbox and I want enter for example 95.52 or 77.52 or 52.22 or even 100.00. Just wondering what type of imput mask I can use for this. I tried 000.00 but if I typed 95.52, access wouldn't let me move to the next box.

Any suggustions?

Thanks

Always useful to state the error message received.

Also, good idea to look at FAQ's - tab at the top of the window.

And use Advanced Search as most problems aren't new...

900\.00;0 - would make the first digit optional, the next two required and the two after the decimal required.
If this is being stored in a text field, the 0 following the semicolon indicates to save the decimal point.

NOTE: This is an example - you should save the grade as a numeric and not an integer.
