I have a query in Access 2002 that outputs to excel. In the query is a field called date. Is it possible to change the format of the date field in the query when it outputs into excel but not affect the database format?
The problem is that I don't want the query to output the date field in the same format as the database has. I want only DD-MMM to output onto the spreadsheet (and possibly just as text if possible).
Right now I get DD-MMM-YYYY (database format) in the spreadsheet when the query outputs.

try using this in the top row of the query design grid:

Date: format([Field Name],"dd-mmm")

Should do the trick.
