Datastore connection problems

Has anyone encountered connection issues with setting up Citrix servers attaching to a sql data store XPE FR2. We have tried both a nt/sql account (the sql service account),
and a sql account that is system admin level on the sql server the data store is at. Tried the dsmaint still errors out. We have consistently had these problems at different locations.
