I have a lookup window that uses datagrid and ADO data control as the data source. After compiling my application that uses this lookup, and deploy it to the target machine, the lookup window on popup does not display data.

However, when i installed VB6 Disk 1 on the target machine and run my application, the lookup window works.

pls how can i figure out the missing file in my application?

thanks

how do you deploy your application to the target machine? Are you using some sort of installation program?

i deploy it using package & deployment.

If you have InterDev, use the VBInstaller in it. Select your VB project and it will automatically detect, include and configure any files you need. That way you won't be missing anything. If you don't have the proper version for VBInstaller, then you'll either have to find another installer or make sure you include all the files in PD wizard (start by making sure that the VB runtime files are included).

You can download the Visual Studio Installer from Microsoft's web pages if you have a copy of Visual Studio on your machine, or you can install it from the Visual Studio disk. On systems prior to XP, you have to make sure that the Microsoft Installer service is running on your machine: this is the service that allows the OS to open and interpret msi files. If the service is not running, you can also download and then register it.
