I'm kind of new to Access and I recently learned of the database splitter utility. I am wondering though how do you make changes to your tables after you have ran the utility. Also, what do you have to do to link the newly created fields in your forms, reports, etc... Thanks for all the help.

I don't know what moves where, but it ends up that you have all the tables in one database (I'll call it the back-end) and everything else goes in the front-end database, with links to the back-end database. Access is good to us in that the links don't need any sort of refreshing when switching from direct tables to linked tables.

To edit table structure, edit the back-end databse. To delete/add tables, you must add/delete the table in the back-end AND you must add/delete a link in the front-end.
