I wish to secure a database and share it across a network, allowing different users different access permissions. I have tried to follow the advice from the Microsoft website on this topic but have found it very confusing.

One of the problems I have encountered is that the security seems to be inherited by every database on the computer. I only wish one to have security.

If anyone can simplify the sharing process for me and solve the above issue I would be grateful.

Regards
Niall

Unless you only play with system.mdw, each database in a computer may have its own .mdw file.

Hope This Helps, PH.
