What is the best way to share a database on our network? I have heard one way is to split the database and send everyone a copy of the .mbd that points to the be_mdb. I have also heard to use MSDE.

We have over 23 branches around the state so connectivity is an issue (speed to connect to database).

Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I have on word for you Citrix. If you want the database to run smoothly, fast, and get completely corrupted you have to use a Meta Client. Where I work we use this and we have connections as far as 700 miles away from the servers and there is absolutley no lag time. Access database do not work well through regular mapped drives. Splitting it up will only cause more work and complicate things.

We do have a Citrix server in one of our locations. What steps would you advise so users can connect to the Access database and input their data?

Thanks again!

I am trying to import a text file that is a delimited file and the delimiting factor is a comma. After importing it, another table of errors pops up as well. I just want to be able to import this file and then fix it up but I am new to acess and a little confused. Can anyone help? Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Philly 44 can you provide more info on using Citrix?
Thanks
Jane
