Hello Everybode!!!

I'm having trouble starting my database automatically upon starting my win 2000 server. I've finished exploring to solve the problem by using ORADIM80 and it did not work. Any work around on how to solve this problem. I'm using ORACLE 8.05 in win2000 Server.

Thank you very much for your help.

Rommel,

If you go to "Start..Settings..Control Panel (Administrative Tools)..Services..OracleService<SID>", is the service set to "Automatic" and is it "Started"? If so, <right-click> the service to "Stop" it, then <right-click> the service to "Start" it. Then look at the response to the Start in your Oracle Alert Log for your instance. Please post the results here.

Dave,

I'm sorry but there is no response written in the alert log.

Have you tried setting the regedit parameter at location hkey_local_machine>software>oracle>homeo>ora_initsid_autostart = true.
This may do the same as previous suggestions but might help
