I have detached a datbase from an SQL 2000 Server, moved the files to a new server and attached it to a SQL 2005 Server. We have an Access 2003 Application that accesses the database, I have changed the connection to the new server but one of the forms returns the following error from the VBA part of the application :- "The value you entered doesn't meet the validation rule defined for the field or control". I have checked the permissions on the Tables and Views on the SQL Server and they appear to be ok.

Any Ideas, because it worked fine before i moved it.

Are you sure this is not a message from your VB part? Maybe you have a pre-defined validation of the control that could cause this.

BTW what field cause this?
Is it possible to be a some DateTime field?
If this is it check what is your current date setting on the computer and check what is DATEFORMAT in SQL Server.

I have another VBA error "Invalid Input Parameter Values, Check th status values for details"

I cannot seem to find where to set the date format in SQL 2005 Express Edition? But the query in access appears to pull the dates through in the correct format.

I have executed the same query from both the 2000 and the 2005 servers. the dates have the following results :-

2000 Server - 24/08/1998
2005 Server - 24/08/1998 00:00:00

Why is the 2005 server returning the time, I think this is behind the problem.
