I am getting this error and some derivatives of this error in my Application Logs
grovel (2044) Database recovery failed with error -1216 because it encountered references to a database, '\\?\Volume{fb5e595d-7f5b-11d9-98fa-806e6f6e6963}\SIS Common Store\database.mdb', which is no longer present. The database was not brought to a consistent state before it was removed (or possibly moved or renamed). The database engine will not permit recovery to complete for this instance until the missing database is re-instated. If the database is truly no longer available and no longer required, please contact PSS for further instructions regarding the steps required in order to allow recovery to proceed without this database.

I have SMS installed on this server. I am using a SQL server 2000 database

A related error is as follows
grovel (2044) An attempt to open the file "\\?\Volume{fb5e595d-7f5b-11d9-98fa-806e6f6e6963}\SIS Common Store\database.mdb" for read only access failed with system error 3 (0x00000003): "The system cannot find the path specified. ". The open file operation will fail with error -1023 (0xfffffc01).

It seems as though there is some connection with the RIS server although the RIS server seems to function correctly

Any suggestions??

I already upated the security log, i am not sure how that could be related to this though????
