Hi there
I have an .mdb that doesn´t open up.
Although Access does, the window with all the tables, queries, forms etc simply doesn´t show (is like when you open Access without selecting any mdb..)

I have tried opening it like...
1. With shift button down
2. Without shift button down
3. Running msaccess /decompile c:\mydatabase.mdb

Nothing works.
All other .mdb I have open up without a problem.
It appears like it is corrupt...
Before I load the latest backup, does anyone have any new ideas I can try?
I am trying to avoid having to redo 5 hours work (new stuff since last back up...I know, I know, I should back up more often...)
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I have no idea why it doesn't open up but one solution might be to start a new mdb file and import your tables, forms, modules, macros and queries from the damaged file to the new mdb file.
Best wishes

thanks for your input
I´ve also tried to import tables, etc however NOTHING shows up when I try to import it.
Is like there is nothing there, however the database is almost 20Mb on size, so obviously all the forms, tables etc are there, they are just not shwoing for some strange reason....

Hold down the shift key whils opening the Database.

This bypasses the startup options.

Check your startup options once in the DB

thanks x508

doesn´t work. that's the first thing I always do.
Simply Access doesn´t 'read´ the database.

I had to recover the database from a back up.

Sometimes keying F11 after opening the database will bring the database tables into view.
