Hi, I am using VB6.0. I am trying to connect to an Access 2000 database via vb and after I set the DatabaseName, using DefaultType "2-UseJet", I cannot set the RecordSource field. Any ideas? I tried changing the DefaultType to "1-UseODBC" and that also gives me an error, which says: You cannot enumerate Table names in ODBCDirect mode. I know I am new at this so surely I am missing something. Can somebody direct me please?

Do you have SP5 installed for vb6.0? If so then you may need to update to the correct MDAC from MS. Check their site for both.

Good Luck

Thanks. It was the service pack. It was trying to recognize an Access 97 .mdb file, when I am using an Access 2000. Service pack 4 handled it. I will also put on SP 5.
