Hi,

We have Arcserve 200 Advanced EditionVersion 7.0 Build 1086.
When we installed arcserve a few years ago the option installation on sql 2000 didn't exist. We installed SQL 2000 on a server but to change the default arcerve database format we need to reinstall arcserve and we can't take the risk to loose our settings. Does somebody know a way to change the database setting to tell arcerve to go to sql not to it's own database.

Thanx

"we can't take the risk to loose our settings" is a littel vage. First off all your jobs should be saved to disk in a different location. As for the queue and the database both can be copied to another location and then just copied back. Just make sure all the AS services are stopped and the Maganer closed prior to doing. If you want the logs copy that directory also. That was you risk nothing but some time.

Now for the conversion use setupsql.exe. I did a search on how to convert vldb to sql and found a tech doc that can help tec294753 it is for BEB but I think the process is the same for 2000.

Thanx i will try when we'll have the time
