Database access denied

I wrote a VB6 program that uses an Access database. I install the program as an Administrator under Windows 2000 or Windows XP with a setup. The program works fine when logged in as an Administrator. When logged in with an account that has no Administrator rights, the database is not accessible through the program. How can I fix that?

check the security permissions on the .mdb file and also the directory that holds the .mdb file... they need directory access in case it needs to make a lock file.

As Sheco said, it's very important that the users have write access to the directory. The lock file will be written to each time the database is accessed. If you still have problems, test the security by logging in as the user and try to create a simple text file in the directory. If you can do that, then it's a security issue inside the database. Run a Repair and Compact on the database from within Access. If you can't create the file and security says it's good, delete the folder and recreate it. The SSID's may have gotten messed up somewhere.
