I need to change some data in our switch however, when I make a Change Station command it states:

Salene: "Cha Station 1179" has data locked.

Salene is the admin login. I've logged off and back on, as well as rebooted the terminal to no avail.

Any suggestions?

On a G3si you can only have 1 active change command at a time.

Salene: "Cha Station 1179" has data locked

It tells you a user named Salene is logged in and has the change ststion 1179 active. Until they finish the command you will not be able to do a change command. Hope this helps

Thanks

Chris

How can I kick the user off? I'm not to concerned about what the command is doing. (It has been doing 'it' for a few hours.)

Call them and have them logoff.
OR

You can do a "list login". See what type of port they are connected to, data module, IP, INADS ... etc. Figure out what port they are using and busy then release the port. Hope this helps

Thanks for your assistance. It has been greatly appreciated.

The said user was logged in remotely. (and forgot that he was logged in). He has been logged out.

Thanks again!

One note about logging in, if you do a change station for example, and walk away, the switch will not be able to run it's daily maint. after three attempts or so it will start to log major alarms....
