I'm using VB 6, and 'Add Data Environment' does not show up as an option under Project. I read on MSDN that if it doesn't show up there, you can add it by going to
Components-->Designers and select it. But, it doesn't show up there either.
Any ideas????

Check if file msde.dll is registered on your machine! the file should be in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\designer" folder.

I am having this same problem. I looked and did not have msde.dll on my system, but I have gotten the file, registered it on my system in both the location listed above, and when that didn't work in system32Does anyone have any other suggestions?
