I have about 300 workstations running EPO 3.5.0.446 agent, and a mix of Windows 98 machines with Virusscan 4.5.1 sp1, and Windows XP sp1 machines with Virusscan 8.0i Patch 10 that are not updating there dat files, there are no errors in the agent.log file, and with over 3000 workstations company wide I need to find an automated solution to this problem. I have tried about everything I can think of including reinstalling the epo agent, without luck. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to try and fix this?

thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not certain on this one, but I think the current agent version is 3.5.0.512. You may want to try going to the McAfee site and downloading the latest Common Management Agent and checking that in to ePO.

Also check the settings on your update task. Make sure that both the update task and policy enforcement for the agent are enabled/inherited at every level.

I installed the latest agent patch and that brought it to 3.5.0.446., All of my settings are correct. the 300 machines are spread across 30 locations where there are other machines that work just find. going to the .xml file which is the agent log, gives no clues at all.

mysupport.nai.com/myhome.asp and it is the EPO 3.5.0 common management agent patch2
