I am having problems installing the driver to my computer. My OS is Windows 98 Second Edition 4.10.2222A. I downloaded the driver. I did exactly these steps: 1) unplug all usb devices, 2) restart comp., 3) install driver, 4)restart comp., and plug device & go to "my comp" to see a "removable drive". It did everything except the last step. It did not show a removable drive. I have an a: (floppy), c:, d:, e:, f: (hard drive partitioned), g: (cd-rom), h: (cd-r) drives. I believe that the "removable
drive" should be "I". I did everything that the "dane-elec" website said to do and nothing. All other OS will recognize this as plug and play, just Win 98 req. a driver.
I am using this "pen" to transfer pictures, videos etc. from my desktop comp.(Win 98 SE) to my laptop (Win Xp). Please help...I am out of ideas.

Thanks,
James

If your getting the device showing in the my computer, then just click on it to access it like you would another drive and then transfer what you want onto it by drag and dropping.

That's the problem, after I install it, it does not show in "my computer" as a removable drive. Please help....

Does this device require usb 2.0? Not sure if that would cause it to work but just thinking of ideas. Also if you can post the exact name and model number of it.

The name of this is zMate Pen NACRE Black 512MB. The web address is Go to downloads and look up the pen name. There you will see the driver for win98. This is a certified usb 2.0 device. I don't think this has anything to do with it. But...who knows?
