Rolling these out today for first time. Not sure how the button mapping plays out. Anyone w/ experience? Seems like the bottom row of buttons maps to 'Button Programming' rows 5-8, which makes sense; but putting Call Appearances on buttons 1-3, when using the button on the phone it just says "button free." Also a DND programmed on button 4 returns a "button free" when pressed.

furthermore, my buttons 5 and 6 were programmed as Park 701 and Park 702; however when using these buttons on the phone, it is just a generic Call Park button (need to dial park zone/code). It's probably in the manual somewhere but thought I'd ask here as well.

Wow, is this page on the KB just killer or what:

Watch the extn in SSA and see how the buttons map as they are pressed, this is what I do to work out the crazy mapping on some Nortel handsets :-)

The button mapping is listed in Manager (for Nortel handsets), but I find it quicker/easier to have them press the button they want programming than it is to have them describe its location to me :-)
