D-LINK 624 and VPN problem

I have a home network of 3 computers all running XP pro and hooked to a cable modem through a D-LINK 624 router. The network and internet access on all computers work very well. The problem starts when I try to connect to my work desktop through a VPN Server. It connects OK to the VPN but I cannot connect to my Desktop. I know that my settings are correct because when I hook the Cable Modem directly to my home PC(i.e. bypassing the router) I can connect to my work PC by VPN without problems. Does anyone has any idea how to get VPN to work through this D-LINK router. It is set for VPN pass-through, and the Games are disable.

assuming you have two NICs on the VPN server, yo uneed to enable IP routing.

For those experiencing similar difficulties, I found out that the problem was cause by the fact that my work VPN used the same private IP Range as my home network i.e 192.168.0.xxx.
By changing the D-Link IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 172.16.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 it effectively fixed the problem. I can now access my work PC from any PC on my home network through the D-Link router.
