Cyrillic font

I have to read Cyrillic font (Russian) from a database with Visual Basic and then I have to work with this font.
The fields are shown in Access in a correct manner and they are memo type. If I try to read the fields with the function “Fields”(my Field), then the result that I get is a question mark and not the russian font, that I want.
I have not idea, how to resolve this problem.
I would be pleased if anybody could help me. It is very important for me.
