Hi there...

Here is my silly problem which I don't even know if it is solvable!

Is it possible to import/create your own bullet points into Word?

I basically have a small, bullet point sized graphic that I would like to use as a bullet point for some corporate stationery, is there any way of doing this? I've had a play and a fiddle and looked on Knowledge Base but to no avail.

Many thanks in advance,

Dave Sutton.

What Word version are you using?

I am using Word 2002, and I can, by going to

Format > Bullets and Numbering...

Then select one of the bullet styles there already (preferably one you don't want to use again), click Customize.
OPn the next window you can select a graphic by clicking on the picture button, then Import, then choose your file (you'll have to change the file of type to photo if graphic is jpg).

Hope this helps

Are you saying that you tried the bullets and numbering settings and you do not have the option DraigGoch explained?
You know when we use later versions, we do not quite remember all options if they existed before or not.

There is no option to import or imbed any kind of picture into Word 97 as a bullet point. I know its nice and easy in later versions of word, but where I work is slack and still only has Word 97!

Well, then you already have the answer :)
However, you can use different character sets.
Try to find and download fancy fonts.
I am sure somewhere on the internet there are font sets that are icons rather than letters, just like Dingbats or much better.
There are also utilities to create custom fonts.
Once you have the icons you want in form of fonts, you can include them in your document.
