Hi,
I'm writing a proposal for a car dealer that wants to be able to update the site himself with new pictures and prices by just filling out a form and clicking a button.
I've done a site with ASP and Access and have thought about doing the same here.
My question is how can I set it up so that he can upload the images without using an FTP program? Can I use ASP to have an admin page with a "Browse" button that the user then navigates to the image on his computer and is uploaded to the server?
I've also used Flash to dynamically load images and text but they still have to be uploaded.
Thanks,
Jim

There's no point in reinventing the wheel, there are plenty of programs out there that have already been built to do this. You can get one of these, stick in your site, and keep going, versus having to write your own.

Here's one I've used before that I like:

I'm sure a quick search on google will return plenty of results for you.

Hope This Helps!

To augment the beer consumption analyst's response ...

There are lots of ways to do file uploads, and all can be located with a bit of googling ... which is another way of saying that I can't remember any URLs and I can't be bothered to look them up. However, methods I've used in the past are:

1. aspUpload
2. ActivePerl
3. phpUpload

They're all much of a muchness. It just depends on which technology is appropriate to your situation.

Cheers, Mike.
