Custom recipient 1

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction for a how to on setting up a custom recipient in Exchange 2K? This seems to be very different than Ex. 5.5. Would like to forward e-mail to third party systems from some internal accounts.

Hi,

Based on your question, I would suggest creating a contact, with a external SMTP address.

I have set up in our Active Directory, Organizational Units with specific contacts (countries, user external email accounts, etc..), so that these are available to the Golbal Address List. Then I created custom address lists to point to these contacts, to minimize confusion.

Example:
OU named Kenya,

create contacts for anyone in Kenya (with SMTP address),

entered the word "Kenya" in description,

create new address list called "All Kenya users",

build filter for address list using "contacts" and for description containing the word "Kenya".

These contacts would be available to all users, unless hidden from the Global Address List.

A little overblown on the description, and maybe it doesn't fit what you are trying to do, but I can hope I hit the nail on the head for you.
