Hi Guys,

I am trying to put together a Filter by Form button on my form and I do not want to use the function built into Access. I found this example of a custom filter by form and after reading the "read me" and reviewing the code, it seems that I should be able to use this in my application. I have made my application look like the example and it is not working at all. I get the error "Invalid use of Null". I appologize for the vagueness of this question but I am not sure what to do at this point. If any of you have seen this before and used it in your own application, your advice would be much appreciated. The link for the Custom Filter by form is below:

try using the ifisnull function first.
in the event use and if then else.
ifisnull query then
'do nothing
else
run filter

"My God! It's full of stars...

I get the error "Invalid use of Null"
Any highlighted line of code ?

Hope This Helps, PH.
