CUSL2-C and PIII 1gz Compatibility, problems/solutions 1

Purchased an Asus CUSL2-C 133 Motherboard with a FCPGA Socket and intel 815EP chipset; I bought an i PIII "Flip Chip" 1G processor to run it Has anyone had any compatibility problems or solutions I should know about. I will not be using the on board video and my board is w/o Audio Any suggestions or encountered problems will be appreciated

I have that mainboard, & as far as I am aware, the C part of the mainboard name indicates it does not come with onboard video or audio.

Anyway, are you sure you are using PC133 RAM, because if not there will be issues raised by this.

I am currently running this board with a PIII 800 (133) CPU & have had no problems at all with it.

Something else you could try is using the Asus monitor software supplied with the board, & set it to constantly monitor things like temp, voltage etc. When it goes wrong, make a note of the time & look this up in the log. I doubt it will be a problem related with this, but if it is it should show up in here. James Goodman
