How do you deal with currency types? I have a drop down that has the different currencies we might ever use, and i want the format of the Salary box to change depending on what the currecy is. So in other words, i want the field to show the corresponding symbol, and a numeric value after choosing the currency type. Anyone know how to do this?

I haven't done this, and I am sure there are those here that have, but why not just keep the amount as a number and then also have a combobox based on a small table that has all of the currency types that you deal with? Not in value, but numerically, 100 is still one hundred. Whether you are talking British pounds or American dollars makes the difference. The only problem will come if you need to add different types together. Then you get into conversions, current rates as of a certain day, etc...

What was wrong with the barter system. A chicken is a chicken, whether you are in England or Texas... ;-) Terry M. Hoey
