My Dell server setup with Dell server assistant and Win2k server just starts up without any log on screen . How can I make the logon screen appear by default

Control Panel, Users and Passwords, Advanced Tab. Check the box requiring users to CTL-ALT-DEL...

There is no users and pass words icon on the control panel of my 2000 server

I'm sorry Mr. London, I didn't read that you had a server. Anyway, go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy. Expand Local Policies, Security Options, and check out the "Disable CTL + ALT + DEL requirement for logon". Make sure it's not enabled.

If the previous suggestion didnt work. Log off then logon as administrator and do the following.

- START -> RUN -> REGEDIT
- Press F3 (search),
- Enter 'autologon' without the quotes
- If its found delete every instance of it.
- shutdown & reboot

Cheers
