I know its probably been asked a million times but i cannot for the life of me find the setting in gpedit.msc for me to do it.
I want use the welcome screen to logon BUT i want to have ctrl alt delete bring up the lock computer, task manager, shut down etc.... dialouge box thing not task manager!
Is it possible?

Nope that dosnt work, that is something i use for hidden users on the welcome screen i mean as in while i am i windows i want to change my pass lock pc etc, i am used 2 pressing ctrl alt del and then hitting enter for lock etc... but it brings up task manager, if i hit ctrl alt del twice in windows it jus sits there and flashes at me while i hit it!

CTRL ALT DEL pressed twice at logon (Welcome Screen) will bring up the Classic Logon box. Otherwise all other times will bring up Task Manager. Task Manager does have a ShutDown drop down menu with several options for you.

Have you considered using the Windows key + set of shortcut commands?

Winkey + L Locks the computer

Or using batch files:
You can also create a shortcut icon on your desktop using the command: rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Right-click somewhere on the desktop

Select New | Shortcut and type: rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

or using freeware third-party utilities. I personally use Slawdog Smart Shutdown, and it creates an easly used notification tray icon. Five stars from me:

Some problem with Windows Key + L to lock the computer?

windows key and L works to lock the pc in the ctrl alt del login mode on welcome screen it moves to the welcome screen and lets you login as a different user

Have you got SP2 installed? I don't think what you are referring to is available in SP1. Hang on a few days until SP2 is released.
