We use CTI 1.3 with a MAPD board and are running Communication Manager 2.2. We have written our own CTI client using C++, which works great for routing calls and for agent pops and soft phone functions.

I was asked whether the CTI framework gives you visibility into what is going on in real-time with calls in queue? Can you query the CTI server to see how many calls are holding in various queues?

We want to put a banner across the bottom of the agent CTI client window when there are calls in queue.

Is anyone doing this?

Cisco does this with CVLAN and RTA (Real time adherence report run on CMS), though to see the queue they use the RTA portion...

Avaya's softphone can do it... though it uses a vu stat button programmed on the station to display the information.

I've never seen it, though that doesn't mean it can't be done. I don't know enough about ASAI and its capabilities.

Thanks,

Do a monitor on the VDNs, when calls queue, or when you query the VDN device, calls in queue will be reported.

Thanks, do you have some specific code examples of monitoring the VDNs? What functions/returns?
