csvde backup restore

When I am using csvde, I do a,
csvde -i test.csv
and try to do a restore on a diff domain with a diff host name by,
csvde -i -f test.csv

It throws out with errors.
Should I be editing the test.csv file to match the destination server hostname and destination domain name before I do it. If so, what else should I change in the csv file.

Also would a force help,
csvde -i -k -f csvde

Please advise.
