Hi there,

I have a .csv file containing 65536 records. I want to transform the data into an SQL server table using a DTS package.

Any advice on how to do it as I am new to SQL Server.
I have SQL Server 2000 and I am using windows 2000.

Regards.

I would just follow the wizard. There will probably be a number of options and you may have to try a few and ensure that the resulting table is an you require

As part of the wizard you can save the script for running again in the future.

Thank you Andy...

I followed the wizard as you said and I have finally managed to load the required csv. file into my table space on SQL Server.
I had some trouble with the properties window but eventually I managed to explain to the stupid wizard that my file is actually comma delimited!

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!

Regards
