CS1000E R5 low volume on analog sets

Is there a way to increase to volume on analog sets?
This is not calls going over an PRI system.

Tha calls are internal calls between different extensions.
(Maybe between Media Gateways..)

We have got the latest loadware and stuff..

These are the only setting that I know of that lets you change impedence.


OPS Off-Premises Station (default if CDEN is DD)

TIMP Termination Impedance for XOPS unit basic-20
(600) 600 ohms
900 900 ohms
The following combinations of TIMP/BIMP are valid:
• 600/600
• 900/900
• 600/3COM
• 900/3COM
• 600/3CM2
• 900/3CM2
These are equivalent to the TIMP/BIMP prompts in LD 14
for the EXUT card. TIMP is prompted if the specified TN
will be configured on an XOPS card (DD card on a
superloop). If the response to TIMP uniquely describes
the TIMP/BIMP combination, then BIMP is not prompted

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

if its going between MG's are they in different zones if so whats the stratgy bb or bq?

Analog still uses DSP on 1000E as per below, even analog to analog.

Connection Type Resources
TDM to IP, IP to TDM DSP
TDM to VT, VT to TDM DSP and VT
IP to IP no DSP
IP to VT or VT to IP VT
TDM to TDM telephone or trunk calls DSP no VT

If you try a butt set on the frame does it sound the same?

It seems that the analog cards we have received (16 cards) has low volume on the extensions.
If we change to old versions of the card it works better, and if we change the new ones back, it becomes worse again.

Have to check if Nortel has some information of bad cards.
