I have a CS1000 IP phone switch in Houston. Is there any way to remotely power it down before Hurricane Rita or anything I can or should do remotely? Thank you.

I don't think you can power the system down remotely. You can initialize and sys it. You have a manual powerswitch on the powersupply, and the best thing to would be to manually power off the system and take out the power cord. In that way you're atleast sure that high voltage, peaks, shortconnections destroys the powersupply.

I'm in NY and switch is in Houston. Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can get someone out there to do this.

Be sure that you have a valid and good backup. As stated in another post, make sure you have at least 2 of them. If you use ld143 and xbk to download a backup, make sure you use the xvr command to remote verify the database if the system not will come back up again by itself.
