Can anyone tell me how to turn on the call log feature to log incoming calls to each extension? We have a CS1000 with PRI, caller id and a mix of IP and digital phones.
We have telephony manager but we also have the command prompt for programming.

If it is for a 3900 type set it is done at the phone. (options key - scroll to Call Log - select option)

If for a IP phone - needs to be activated on Signalling server - limit to 1000 users unles you have a dedicaed server.

Go to Element Manager on the Signaling Server
Choose IP Telephony
Choose Personal Directories
Under the Server IP Address field, enter the IP address of the *ELAN*

Click Submit

Is this particular to a certain release or reliant on something like "IP Line"? I have been in several places on my sig server and just don't see it. Thanks.

I think Call Log for IP phones was introduced with 4.5 or maybe 4.0

There are additional changed for 5.5

Configuration & maintenance of the IP Phone variation is described in the "IP Line Fundamentals" NTP under "Personal Directory, Callers List, and Redial List".

I have IP Line 3.1 running on my rls 3 cs1000. Pretty sure I am just out of luck on getting it going without the higher ups doing an upgrade. Thanks for the info guys.

Is it possible to view the callers list on an 1140e set, on Release 4.5? I am looking in the NTP's and so far I have seen that it is possible only with an Application Server.

Anyone know why they would take away a feature such as this?

The "Application Server" which you are referring to is a software which runs on the "Signaling Server".
