CS 1000 E and NRS

Private lines (COT) we have on the E side of switch. Customer wants the COT auto-terms on the T side (They decided last minute not to go with E1/R2. On E side for NARS all calls except on switch will go to the T side. On the T side then more expanded NARS to deal with outgoing calls. Still a bit fuzzy on NRS and "handshake" for lack of better term from T to E. Also know we have to do some digit manipulation for Auto Term trunks to get to Call Pilot Auto Attendant. Going to connect Call BIll CDR on the T side and got some notes from the boys in Ireland how to change it a bit for our needs. Does anyone have an easy to understand explanation of the NRS or link between the T side and E side. The more I read the more dumb-founded I become from the manuals.

since we don't use the terms t and e side of the switch state side, can't help that much.. are you talking tdm to e1 or e1 to t1 to voip to tdm?

John, Mike is speaking about CS1000E for e side and CS1000T for t side. Not nice terms... but ok to understand the meaning.

Mike, the NRS is registering both Node of the CS1000E and Node of the CS1000T. In NRS you must have those both system registered when viewing Gateway endpoints.
Routing entries is the way you want to route the calls to a system or another. The Dialing type is very important. It must match the type of numbering used in the PBX:
i.e.: Using DSC is refering to a Level0 numbering plan in the NRS.

In your question, i guess the ATDN must be a DSC pointing to a RLI going to the virtual trunk, then to the NRS. Nrs will then route the call to the appropriate system.

Give more details if my explanation are not clear enough by posting Route, Members, routing....

and,please for John and everyboby, change your terms to 1000E and 1000T...

Thanks and sorry about the terminology. Learning this new system (to me) and all the abbreviations and acronyms is making realize just how old I am getting. I started out sending and recieving morse code. But that cleared it up some for me and now ready to put it all together.
