Crystal Showme bad

i have a formula with this:
ado.PRICE - ado.DISCOUNT
and Crystal in the Report viewer showme this:
-6,96e+250 this is bad. please somebody HELPME!!!

WOW!!! that is a pretty expensive item...even when the discount applied :-)

If these are numbers generated by a VB app and past to Crystal in an ADO record set...I would suspect that the problem is a VB bug....nothing to do with crystal.
