crystal reports with current form

I created a form in vb.NET (back-end is a sql server database). I want to know if it's possible to have a user enter data into the form then save and print that form from crystal reports.

Entering data into the form should save to the database, and then you might invoke Crystal to either run a report passing through the data as a recordset from your vb.net app, or just have Crystal query the database.

Can you elaborate on run a report passing through the data as a recordset from your vb.net app. I am a newbie to both vb.net and crystal reports. This is my first app. So things aren't easy to follow.
