Crystal Reports vs Cognos

I am about to begin the process of evaluating Crystal Enterprise vs Cognos. I was wondering if anybody on this board has been through this process before and is willing to share their findings.

The little I know from working with Crystal and talking to a Cognos Developer is that Crystal has a strong point with improptu reporting where Cognos focuses on Cube Analytical type reporting. The Cognos idea is that you can narrow your data from slicing your data cube and then run a report off that information set. From a user stand point that might be difficult for some users to adjust to.
