Crystal Reports for Access 2000 and VB 6

Sorry, but I cannot see if this has already been asked.

I cannot use the default Crystal Reports supplied with my VB to write reports based on my Access 2000 db. Is this because 4.5 won't work with 2000 or do I need a patch or two? Can't get response from Crystal Decisions.
Incedentally, I'm using Win 2000 as well.

Do you have SP5 installed for VB6.0 and the latest MDAC?

Thanks for prompt reply. I don't have SP5 - but will now look for it. What is the latest MDAC level? I have no other problems with data access (that I'm aware of anyway!).

Last I read it was 2.7 but if I remember correctly you will need 2.5 (Could be very wrong on this one) check ms at

I also believe that mdac 2.7 is the latest. Howwever it was released for win XP. If you are using access 2000 and win 2000 I would recommend using mdac 2.6. Thanks and Good Luck!
