Can someone please give me an example of the correct way to log on to an access database so that I may print my report from VB6. its CR 8.5, I'm used OBDC to create the report based on an Access paramter query. But when i call it to print in VB, it says cannot open SQL server, meaning i need to open a connection or logon to Access so the report can use the query. Please Help!! Thanks!

Or also...
If i can't connect, how exactly could i use an ADO connection as my source for a report, you know like open a connection and select * from a table and have all those records as the source for the report. can it be done? and how?? an answer to this or the first uestion would be greatly appreciated and SAVE ME!
-thanks,

I believe this is caused by the SQL server not being loaded.
I've had the same problem accessing an Oracle database. You must load the SQL driver when you execute your VB program. Sorry, I cant help you with those details.

The fastest way to create a report in VB6 is to create a data environment and then you can add a connection to your db file. A report can then be created using these VB6 tools.
The reports are similar to CR but not as extensive. Email me at tpratt@email.usps.gov if you'd like additional info.
