Hello,

I have had to move all of my VB6.0 applications to a new PC.
I have installed VB6.0, MSAccess and crystal reports.
After moving my source code to the new PC I get a login window every time I try to print a crystel report.

I Can see all of my data in the forms that I use to enter and edit the data.
I do not need any password when I open MSAccess to change the design of the database.

What is causing this login window when I try to use Crystal Reports 4.6.

Thanks

Raney

May be you use attached tables in one of your Access databases. When you do that, and if your original access base is protected by a password, Access stocks into a table called something like "msoSysObjects" all the informations needed to connect to the original attached table (you can see this table by checking the box "view system objects" in the options of your DB.
If the path or the password is not the same on the new PC, delete all the attached tables then re-attach them.

hope that helps. Water is not bad as soon as it stays out human body ;-)

I do not have any attached tables in the databases.
I have never had any passwords on any of the databases.
I can use MSAccess to go in and change the design or data.
It is just when I try to use Crystal Reports it brings up a password window.

Were you ever able to resolve this issue, I am experienceing the same thing in the very same manner as you. Very Irritating.

try creating a new database and import all ur existing tables/queries..etc into the new one..
now try connecting to the newly created database..see if it still asks for the password
