crystal enterprise needs oracle password for access query

"I agree with Witchita, but I'd add to this that you're probably better served to create the Query in the Access database that retrieves the required data, and then base the report on the MS Access Query."

This works fine when I run a report 'manually'. My problem is that when I schedule a report under Crystal Enterprise Express (the 'free' version) it fails when Access prompts for a password.

What I've been doing is first run a scheduled Access job (at say 4 a.m.) that does a Make Table from an Oracle database. Then run the report under CE at 5 a.m. that references the made table. Verrrrry kludgy.

Is there a way to do this, in a single step, within CE?

When you link nthe table into Access, make sure you click the little Save Password checkbox.
